Precast Tasmania premises are located on around 20,000m2 of land, with a factory floor area of approximately 1500m2, where all products are manufactured undercover in a controlled environment. Precast Tasmania has identified areas that in the past have restricted the efficiency of precast concrete manufacturing.

By first evaluating such areas and processes where deficiencies in the existing supply market may be evident, followed by subsequent investment in infrastructure and production methods to address such deficiencies; Precast Tasmania is able to offer clients a product that demonstrates what can and should be expected from modern Precast production.

The major contributing factors of Precast Tasmania's manufacturing capabilities are two large steel casting beds and one tilting steel bed, equating to a total casting area of approximately 350m2. All casting beds are manufactured to tight tolerances, ensuring good dimensional accuracy and a class of finish above and beyond generally accepted standards within the industry today.

All Precast components are lifted and handled by two 20.0T overhead gantry cranes, incorporating the latest safety and remote control technology available.

The introduction of new, lightweight form work compliments this infrastructure, overcoming several negative safety and production issues associated with traditional methods of Precast production.

Concrete supply is adjacent the factory premises, via internal thoroughfare where concrete trucks are able to enter and exit the factory environment in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring continual production flow is achieved.

Precast Tasmania has established quality control measures applicable to all aspects of manufacture. From the project initiation and shop drawing phase to final lifting and delivery, hold points are placed to ensure consistency in product quality is maintained.

The company has full time in house drafting expertise to ensure clear and accurate shop drawings are provided for each and every component manufactured, as part of the standard supply service.
